Ph.D. student will be hired for the project entitled “Research-to-Adoption of Next Generation Li-ion Batteries for Electric Vehicle Applications” (International Leader researcher program-TÜBİTAK 2232).

Scope of the Project
In this proposal, we aim to study next generation cathode and anode active materials for Li-ion batteries which can be used in electric vehicles and consumer electronics. Li-rich and Ni rich layered-layered cathode active materials known with Li2MnO3-LiMO2 nomenclature, high nickel NMC and Si, Sn and Li based composite anode active materials will be investigated as cathode and anode materials, respectively. Along with a promising cycle life, it is the ultimate aim of this proposal to achieve 800Wh/L energy density with a fast charging capability which can provide 80% state of charge in 20 minutes.
Qualifications of Applicants:
- Having a BSc degree in fundemantal science and engineering
- Having the following skill sets and research interest: Chemistry, wet chemistry, inorganic chemistry, electrochemistry, electroplating, lithium batteries, fuel cells.
- Level of education: Currently must enrolled as a PhD student in a university in Turkey.

Duration of Scholarship:
Doctoral students will be supported with full scholarship for 3 years within the scope of the project. The pick-up /drop-off services, lunch service and health insurance will be provided by the institution.
