The signing ceremony of the cooperation protocol for the establishment of TÜBİTAK Rail Transportation Technologies Institute was held on September 21, 2019. The ceremony was attended by Cahit Turhan, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Mustafa Varank, Minister of Industry and Technology, Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal, President of TUBITAK, and Ali İhsan Uygun, General Manager of State Railways of the Republic of Turkey.

During the ceremony, the important contribution of the institute, which will be established in TÜBİTAK Gebze Campus in cooperation with TÜBİTAK-TCDD, in many fields such as transportation and technology was highlighted.
