TCDD General Manager Ali İhsan Uygun and TÜRASAŞ General Manager M.Metin Yazar visited TÜBİTAK RUTE with their delegation. The delegation met with TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal, TÜBİTAK RUTE Director Prof. Dr. Abdülkadir Balıkçı and Deputy Director Dr. Mehmet Ali Çimen, and examined the laboratories to get information about R&D studies and developments in projects.
The signing ceremony of the cooperation protocol for the establishment of TÜBİTAK Rail Transportation Technologies Institute was held on September 21, 2019. The ceremony was attended by Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Cahit Turhan, Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank, President of TÜBİTAK Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal and General Manager of the Turkish State Railways Ali İhsan Uygun. At the ceremony, the TÜBİTAK-TCDD cooperation will be established in TÜBİTAK Gebze Campus.
