The award ceremony of the Hyperloop Development Competition, which was held on August 15-19, 2022 within the scope of TEKNOFEST under the leadership of TÜBİTAK RUTE, was held in TEKNOFEST Karadeniz Samsun on September 3-4 with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
In the competition; among the 4 teams that successfully completed the technical controls among the 16 finalist teams and qualified to compete in the tunnel, the Turquoise team reached the highest speed in the tunnel; the SU Capsule team succeeded in advancing with magnetic levitation in the tunnel, and the Hyperhawk team completed the technical controls first and qualified to compete in the tunnel first, showing significant achievements and were entitled to receive performance awards.
The 50,000 TL First Prize was awarded to TURKUAZ and SU Capsule Hyperloop teams, while the 40,000 TL Second Prize was awarded to HyperHawk team.
In the first year of the competition, many teams, especially Hyperbee, which achieved a significant success by providing suspension and linear propulsion with levitation, which is the heart of hyperloop technology, and the Starloop team, which performed a magnetic levitation demonstration in technical controls, achieved significant success and received their awards in the special category. These awards were announced on August 19, 2022 at the award ceremony attended by Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank at the Hyperloop Development Competition area of TÜBİTAK Gebze Campus.
