TÜBİTAK Informatics and Information Security Advanced Technologies Research Center (BİLGEM) is a national R&D center that produces solutions in the fields of informatics, information security and advanced electronics within the framework of the needs of the public and private sectors in civilian and military fields under the Republic of Turkey. Conducting scientific and technological research at international standards with more than 40 years of experience and strong human resources, TÜBİTAK BİLGEM acts with the principle of producing independent and innovative solutions.

TÜBİTAK BİLGEM, which continues its activities under the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey, can operate anywhere in the world within the framework of the duties and authorization given to it.

TÜBİTAK BİLGEM operates in Kocaeli / Gebze and Ankara Campuses, while the Headquarters is located in Gebze Campus.

TÜBİTAK BİLGEM was established in 2010 with the merger of the National Electronics and Cryptology Research Institute (UEKAE) and the Information Technologies Institute (BTE) under the same roof.

As one of the largest R&D centers in Turkey, TÜBİTAK BİLGEM's technologies and products have transcended the borders of the country. These indigenous and national technologies are actively used by many countries (Europe, America, Asia and Africa, etc.) together with NATO within the framework permitted by our government.

Thanks to these efforts of our organization, our country has become a country that can export technology abroad in the fields of informatics and information security and compete with the giants of the world.

Nationally developed products, especially those containing national crypto algorithms, are not exported abroad for security reasons. Within the scope of confidentiality and cooperation agreements, permission procedures for the production, export and import of items included in the "List Subject to Control" specified under the main headings in Law No. 5201 can only be carried out under the responsibility and with the knowledge of the Ministry of National Defense.
