Another first was realized in Istanbul's rail transportation and the Arnavutköy - Istanbul Airport phase of the Gayrettepe - Istanbul Airport - Halkalı metro line was commissioned in line with the works carried out in coordination with the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.

Signaling System from TÜBİTAK RUTE

The signaling system of the line was built by TÜBİTAK RUTE, Turkey's first and only R&D center working on railway. Domestic signaling systems stand out as one of the important projects that eliminate foreign dependency in the signaling and renewal of our country's metro lines.

The developed DOMESTIC SIGNAL-CBTC WSATC system ensures the safe operation of fully autonomous driverless trains. Thanks to this system, which only a few countries in the world can operate, our need for foreign countries in the signaling and renewal of our country's metro lines is eliminated and the high cost expenses incurred are also prevented. With the use of this system, which is indigenized with TÜBİTAK RUTE capability, in the main lines and metro lines that will start operating in the coming years, it is aimed to provide Turkey with an added value of 100 million euros.
