Who We Are

TÜBİTAK BİLGEM BTE has always had a vision of learning, teaching, sharing its knowledge with courage, adding value to value and accepting service as a duty.

Founded in 1972, BTE aims to increase social welfare and improve the quality of life of the society through the projects it carries out by offering them to the service of decision-makers in line with its founding purpose. Within this framework, the Institute strives to bring the opportunities offered by information and communication technologies to the society in the most effective way in order to improve the economic and social conditions of citizens, the private sector and all segments of the society, and by realizing national and original projects that break the dependence on foreign countries in critical technologies, the peace and security of our country in general is placed on more solid and sustainable foundations.

Acting under the guidance of the knowledge and experience it has gained so far, TÜBİTAK BİLGEM BTE realizes that with the development of new basic technologies, the knowledge sector, knowledge production, knowledge capital and qualified human factor have gained importance and foresees that the continuity of education will come to the fore. On the other hand, with new developments such as communication technologies, information highways, electronic commerce, etc., it realizes that our society is faced with a serious goal of moving beyond the industrial society in economic, social, cultural and political terms. In order to shoulder this important goal, BTE wants to increase the technological capacity of enterprises and the support they need for innovation, support university-industry cooperation and support the development of industrial policies that will give enterprises a global competitive advantage. For this purpose, it believes that R&D projects in private and public research institutions and universities should be supported primarily for the development of high-tech products needed by domestic production.

In line with the principle of "Adding Value to Knowledge", TÜBİTAK BİLGEM BTE will continue to carry out this difficult mission by working together with other institutes, universities and industrial organizations.
