TEKNOFEST, the world's largest aviation and space festival held with growing interest and excitement every year, hosted the International and High School Efficiency Challenge (EC) Electric Vehicle Competitions this year with the contributions of TÜBİTAK RUTE and TÜBİTAK BİTO. The competitions, which took place at TÜBİTAK Gebze Campus in Kocaeli, aimed to raise awareness on alternative energy sources and electric vehicle technologies and to attract qualified people.

The STREAMS Project General Assembly Meeting within the scope of the Horizon Europe Program, which aims to increase Europe's battery production technologies and competitiveness, was hosted by TÜBİTAK RUTE at TÜBİTAK Gebze Campus. Stakeholders from leading research institutions from Europe and the world participated in the meeting physically and online, while opening speeches were made by the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT) and TÜBİTAK RUTE on the first day of the project.

The Spring Camp Event of the Hyperloop Development Competition organized within the scope of TEKNOFEST under the leadership of TÜBİTAK RUTE has started. The event is organized to guide the participating teams and support their exciting journey. Using TÜBİTAK RUTE's Hyperloop Vacuum and Test Tunnel, the Spring camp offers a unique opportunity for teams wishing to participate in the Hyperloop Development Competition to test their capsule designs before the big competition.

Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Osman Boyraz paid a working visit to TÜBİTAK RUTE with the accompanying delegation. During the visit, Boyraz received detailed information on the R&D activities carried out by TÜBİTAK RUTE and examined the ongoing activities within the scope of the National Technology Move. During his visit, Boyraz also met with students working at the Spring Camp of the Hyperloop Development Competition organized by TEKNOFEST under the leadership of TÜBİTAK RUTE.

We are expanding our signaling network by applying the YERLİSİNYAL technology, developed locally and nationally in cooperation with TÜBİTAK RUTE and TCDD, in different regions in line with the needs of our country without slowing down. Within the scope of the ongoing YERLİSİNYAL projects, the stations on the Ortaklar-Aydın-Denizli railway line are being rapidly connected to each other. Another first was realized in Istanbul's rail transportation and the Arnavutköy - Istanbul Airport phase of the Gayrettepe - Istanbul Airport - Halkalı metro line was commissioned in line with the works carried out in coordination with the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure. With the "Electric Mainline Locomotive Contract Signing Ceremony" held in Eskişehir with the participation of Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal, President of TÜBİTAK, Dr. Tolgahan KAYA, Director of TÜBİTAK RUTE, and many names from the public/private sector, the serial production of Turkey's new generation electric mainline locomotive ESKİŞEHİR5000 will start. The Gayrettepe-Kağıthane Metro Line, the last link of the Gayrettepe-Istanbul Airport Metro Line, was inaugurated by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
