Under the leadership of TÜBİTAK RUTE, the awards of the Hyperloop Development Competition held at TÜBİTAK Gebze Campus on April 25 - 29, 2023 within the scope of TEKNOFEST found their owners. The Hyperloop Development Competition, which left its mark on last year, managed to make a name for itself this year. While 44 teams applied to the competition in 2023, 17 of the 19 finalist teams that were successful in the technical design report participated in the final week. 

The opening ceremony of the Kağıthane-Istanbul Airport Metro, whose signaling was realized in cooperation with TÜBİTAK RUTE -ASELSAN, was held with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The LOCAL SIGNAL-CBTC WSATC system, which is used in the subway and developed by TÜBİTAK RUTE, ensures the safe operation of trains at the fully autonomous driverless GoA4 level, ensuring maximum line capacity. Thanks to this system, which can only be provided by a few companies in the world, our country will be able to use this system in the signaling of metro lines.

The award ceremony of the Hyperloop Development Competition, which was held on August 15-19, 2022 within the scope of TEKNOFEST under the leadership of TÜBİTAK RUTE, was held in TEKNOFEST Karadeniz Samsun on September 3-4 with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. In the competition; among the finalist 16 teams, the Turkuaz team, one of the 4 teams that successfully completed the technical controls and qualified to compete in the tunnel, reached the highest speed in the tunnel, and the SU Capsule team reached the highest speed in the tunnel.

The Hyperloop Development Competition, which was organized for the first time this year within the scope of TEKNOFEST under the leadership of TÜBİTAK RUTE, with the support of TCDD and other stakeholders, in order to encourage the work of university students in this field with the aim of starting to study Hyperloop technology in Turkey, has been completed. We have completed our competition, but as the institute of firsts, we have started a new adventure for our country and our future generations with TEKNOFEST. Our country will change the course of transportation all over the world.
