The first start-up ceremony of the Original Engine Family, which was developed by our researchers and is the locomotive engine that achieves the highest power from a cylinder volume of 1 liter, was held with the participation of Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu, President of TÜBİTAK Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal, General Manager of the Republic of Turkey State Railways (TCDD) Hasan Pezük, General Manager of TÜRASAŞ Mustafa Metin Yazar and other project stakeholders.

The engine to be produced by TÜRASAŞ, the locomotive of our country's railway sector, is the diesel engine with the highest power obtained from 1 liter, as well as being the first locomotive engine whose license rights belong to our country. The engine also has the material, design and cooling system that can withstand 230 bar pressure in the cylinder.
